Introduction to Tea Appreciation Presented by Dowling College Date: November 15 - 22, 2008 Time: 10:00am - 1:00pm
Explore the world of loose-leaf tea through this informative and interactive course. Participants will learn the basics of black, oolong, green, and white teas and will explore various teas from India, China, Taiwan, Japan and Sri Lanka. Other topics include: what is and is not tea; healthy compounds found in tea; heath benefits of tea; how to properly prepare the different varieties of tea & tea lore and legends. Participants will examine the loose-leaf and taste the steeped infusions of some of the most exquisite teas in the world representing each of the varieties discussed.
