Authentic city style Italian

  Villa D'avanzo is sort of cheesy looking on the inside but once you sit down you realize the place is packed with 2nd and 3rd generation Italian families that come for the traditional good food. Service is excellent and punctual. The traditional favorites pastas, chops, clams etc are on the money. I was blown away by the sauces on a few items. Amazing. Arther Ave style amazing in Amityville. They often have fish specials which never fail to impress. We could do without the cheesy "entertainment" which was a female crooner on a casio keyboard. very annoying and distracting but the many older people there seem to like it. All in all, this place has a cheesy quaintness that is endearing and sweet. Picture yourself in Goodfellas circa 1982 when you come here. The food never disappoints.
