Drawn From An Important Long Island Collection, This Major Exhibition Showcases More Than 100 Original Works By Louis Comfort Tiffany, Offering An Uncommon Glimpse Into The Artist’s Personal World. Tiffany’s Light-Filled Orientalism And His Use Of Sensuous Art Nouveau Lines Contrasted Sharply With The Era’s Prevailing Dark Victorian Décor And Had A Powerful Influence On The Evolving Aesthetics Of The Wealthy And Famous Of The Gilded Age.

Nathan Sawaya: Recent Works no Longer Just For Child’s Play, Plastic Toy Building Bricks Have Become Material For Fine Art. The New York Sculptor, Nathan Sawaya, Is Among The Most Prominent Of Contemporary Artists Working With Lego® Blocks. Sawaya’s Work, Exploring Themes Of Identity, Elevates Brick Art To A New Phase Of Artistic Expression Through Large-Scale Sculptures That Portray Complexities Of The Human Condition. Nathan Sawaya: Recent Works Is Organized By Elaine Berger For The Museum’s Contemporary Collectors Circle In Cooperation With The Agora Gallery In New York.

Photographer Davis Gaffga Has Spent The Past Year Photographing Southampton’s Locally Owned Business With Their Owners And Employees. Many Of These Stores Have Been Open For At Least One Hundred Years Including Herrick Hardware, Hildreth’s Department Store, Corwith Pharmacy, Corwin’s Jewelers And Catena’s. Gaffga Has Spent 35 Years As An Architectural And Location Photographer.

Nina Kennedy Is The Co-Author Of A Popular Series Of Books Documenting The Personal Stories And Recipes Of Residents In Southampton. The Latest Version Titled “Our Southampton Part 3: More Family Stories & Food Traditions” Was Published In The Summer Of 2011. Kennedy Took Photographs Of The People Who Told Their Stories And Shared Favorite Recipes In The Books.

An Archaeological Team Has Mysteriously Disappeared, Along With A Priceless Jade Medallion Buried Among Ancient Maya Ruins – Will You Be The One To Uncover The Mystery And Find The Priceless Treasure?
Get A Taste Of What It's Like To Be An Archaeologist As You Join In The Treasure Quest And Immerse Yourself In The Beauty And Intrigue Of Maya Culture. Watch The Video Left Behind By The Missing Archaeological Team, Then Piece Together Their Cues To Find The Jade Medallion. This Highly Interactive Exhibit Has Visitors Translating Ancient Mayan Glyphs, Examining An Excavated Skeleton, Investigating The Deadliness Of Tomb-Dwelling Spiders, And More As You Search For The Elusive Medallion. The Mystery Of The Mayan Medallion Has Been Developed By The Arkansas Discovery Network, Through A Grant Funded By The Donald W. Reynolds Foundation.

Andrew Botsford And Rosemary Cline Will Present A Staged Reading Of A. R. Gurney's "Love Letters" Etc. Currently Working And Teaching In The MFA In Creative Writing And Literature Program At Stony Brook Southampton, Botsford Is A Veteran Of More Than 30 Hampton Theatre Company Productions Over The Past 25 Years. Ms. Cline Is An Actor And Director Who Got Her Start With The Hampton Theatre Company And Has Appeared In Productions In New York City And Summer Stock In Connecticut. Botsford And Cline Have Two Of The Principal Roles In The HTC Production Of "Deathtrap" In Quogue In January 2012.

Tiffany’s Daring Use Of Color Was Celebrated During His Lifetime And Continues To Be Highly Regarded Today. In An Illustrated Lecture, Lindsy Parrott, A Renowned Scholar Of Louis Comfort Tiffany’s Glass Art, Explores Tiffany’s Love Of Color Throughout His Half-Century Career. Prior To Joining The Neustadt Collection, She Was With The Morse Museum In Florida, Which Boasts The World’s Most Comprehensive Collection Of Tiffany Works. Ernestine Rose- Harlem Librarian And Social Activist
Come Celebrate Women’s History Month And St. Patrick’s Day With A Slide Talk By Ann Sanford On Ernestine Rose (1880-1961), A Little-Known Community Activist From Bridgehampton Who Made A Significant Contribution To Harlem Culture. Ms. Rose Served As A New York City Branch Librarian Starting In 1908. She Enlisted During World War I As A Service Librarian In Paris And Germany. She Was Also A Professor Of Library Science, Book Author, President Of The New York State Library Association And, Upon Retirement, A Leader In Her Hometown. Rose Led In Establishing The Schomburg Center For Research In Black Culture In Harlem In 1925.
