On Saturday August 28th, the United Fire Company #1 and the Cutchogue Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary hosted their 53rd Annual Chicken Barbecue. This annual event has grown since it's beginning to serve over 3200 people each year.

Considered "Long Islands Largest Chicken Barbecue" the event takes place on the fourth Saturday in August, and is held on the Fire Department Grounds. For many families this event officially marks the end of the summer on the North Fork.

Four rooms of the Guild gallery will be filled with affordable antiques, vintage jewelry, glass, pottery and ceramic ware, kitchenware, linens, toys, art and prints, ephemera, books, some furniture and collectibles of all sorts. Weather permitting, the Guild grounds will be used for additional vendors. Homemade bake goods will also be sold and proceeds from the sale and the antiques fair will benefit the Guild building fund.
