Music For Sunday Afternoon Pleasure
Ellen Johansen Has Given Many Piano Concerts In New York And Long Island Including Very Recent Performances In East Hampton, At Hofstra University And For A Japan Recovery Fundraiser. She Is A Graduate Of Hofstra University Where She Studied With Blanche Abram With Whom She Continues To Study Piano These Many Years Later. An Esteemed Pianist And Piano Teacher, Ellen Specializes In Early Childhood Musical Education And Is An Expert Advocate Of Musikgarten's Approach. She Frequently Lectures To Piano Teacher Associations On A Variety Of Topics. Her Program Will Include Variations Serieus By Mendelssohn, Un Sospiro By Franz Liszt, A Selection Of Preludes By Claude Debussy And Book 2 Of The Iberian Suite Of Isaac Albeniz. This Event Is Sponsored By Florence And John Lawrence Music Series.
