Life On Long Island Takes Best of Category Award at 35th Annual BOLI Awards
May 22, 2008 – Life on Long Island, www.LifeOnLongIsland.com, the premier online portal for the greater Long Island, New York area, is pleased to announced that it has taken home a Best of Category statue in the Internet-Independent category at this year's Long Island Advertising Club's Best On Long Island (BOLI) awards competition.
"This really makes all of the hard work we have put into the site worth it," said Kristin Kelly, Founding Partner of Life On Long Island. Internet entries were judged based on overall creative excellence, visual creative design, content, functionality, structure/navigation, and interactivity. Judges are selected from outside of the Long Island area. Only principals, officers, and experienced individuals in the creative, writing, and production fields are invited to judge the competition. Based on the judges' cumulative scores in each category, finalists were awarded a Best of Category statue or one of the three designated Certificates of Excellence: Gold, Silver, or Bronze.
The BOLI Awards is a nationally recognized advertising and marketing awards program with 700 of Long Island's marketing entities, including companies, not-for-profits, and educational institutions represented. LifeOnLongIsland.com Selected as BOLI Finalist

Monday, April 7, 2008) – Life on Long Island, www.LifeOnLongIsland.com, the premier online portal for the greater Long Island, New York area, was recently named a finalist for the Internet-Independent category in the 35th annual Best On Long Island (BOLI) awards competition held by the Long Island Advertising Club. The BOLI competition has become one of the most prestigious business competitions in the metropolitan New York region.

There were a total of 1,344 entries, in almost 100 categories, for this year’s competition. BOLI is a nationally recognized advertising and marketing awards program that attracts participation from agencies, corporate marketers and suppliers industry wide. The competition represents the best advertising and marketing created on Long Island, by Long Islanders. The award ceremony will take place on May 19 at Crest Hollow Country Club.
